Start early with the drive north-west to Al Zubarah. Explore the fort and the ruins of the old merchant town before it gets hot.
Midday: Al Thakhira
Head east to Al Thakhira for lunch and a walk along the mangrove boardwalk. This is a good time for a short kayak or paddle.
