Twelve hours is enough for a full city tour and a meal, or a desert safari, with time to spare. Here is how to plan it.

The buffer rule
Reserve at least three hours for airport procedures, giving yourself around nine hours of true sightseeing. That is plenty for a well-planned tour.
Option 1: city and culture
See the Corniche, the Museum of Islamic Art and Souq Waqif, add lunch, then continue to Katara or The Pearl-Qatar. You will be back at the airport with time to relax.
Option 2: desert adventure
A desert safari with dune bashing and sandboarding fits comfortably into a 12-hour layover. Choose a morning or afternoon departure that matches your flight.
Option 3: both
A combined itinerary is possible if your layover is on the longer side and you are happy with a packed day. Ask us for a tailored plan.
