Overview

Our sunset desert safari starts in the afternoon (2pm or 3pm) so you reach the dunes as the heat fades and the sand turns gold. Enjoy dune bashing, sandboarding and a camel ride, then find the perfect viewpoint to watch the sun sink over Khor Al Udeid. It's the most photogenic time of day in Qatar and a favourite for couples, influencers and photographers. Includes hotel pickup and drop-off, water and a professional driver-guide.

What to expect

Wear light, comfortable clothing, sunglasses and sunscreen, and bring a light layer for the evening. Closed shoes are fine, but you will probably end up with sand in them, so many guests prefer sandals. Dune bashing is energetic: it is not recommended for pregnant guests, anyone with back or neck problems, or young babies. Your driver will explain the safety rules before leaving the paved road.
